Promotion Terms & Conditions

1. Promotion period

The NZ Auction Network launch promotion opens at 12:00 AM NZST on 1 August 2026 and closes at 11:59 PM NZDT on 30 October 2026. Only listings paid for during this period are eligible.

2. Eligibility

The promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 or over who hold a verified NZ Auction Network account (verified email and mobile phone). Employees of the promoter and their immediate families are not eligible.

3. Eligible marketplaces

Paid listings on any of the three NZ Auction Network marketplaces are eligible: Cheap Boats NZ, Tow My Boat NZ, and Adventure Auctions NZ. Free listings, unpaid drafts, expired drafts, and administrator-created test listings are not eligible.

4. Entry method

Entry is automatic. When you pay to list an item during the promotion period, that listing is entered into the draw. No purchase of the platform outside of a paid listing is required to enter — however only paid listings on the NZ Auction Network qualify.

5. One entry per paid listing

Every eligible paid listing receives ONE entry into the draw. The entry is tied to that listing’s Listing Reference Number (the short display handle shown on every listing, e.g. Ref: 7A92F3BC). Duplicate entries are not created for the same listing.

6. Listing Reference Numbers used as entries

The draw is conducted using Listing Reference Numbers. Each eligible paid listing contributes exactly one Listing Reference Number to the entry pool.

7. Closing date

Entries close at 11:59 PM NZDT on 30 October 2026. Listings paid for after this time are not eligible.

8. Draw date and time

The draw will take place at 12:00 PM NZDT on 31 October 2026.

9. Draw method

The winner will be selected using a random electronic draw from all eligible Listing Reference Numbers. Every eligible paid listing receives one entry; entries are based on the Listing Reference Number; duplicate entries are not created; and a random electronic selection process determines the winner.

10. Draw transparency

The draw will be recorded in full for transparency and the completed draw video will be published as soon as practicable after the draw in the official Cheap Boats NZ Facebook Group. The draw is not conducted as a live stream.

11. Prize details

One prize of NZ$500 cash will be awarded, transferred to the winner’s nominated New Zealand bank account. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for another item. No cash equivalent alternatives are offered beyond the stated NZ$500 cash prize.

12. Winner notification

The winner will be contacted using the email address and/or mobile phone number registered to their NZ Auction Network account. If the winner cannot be contacted within the stated claim period, another eligible listing may be drawn.

13. Claim period and unclaimed prize procedure

The winner has 14 days from the date of first contact to respond and provide the details required to receive the prize. If the winner does not respond within that period, the entry is forfeited and the promoter may re-draw another eligible Listing Reference Number using the same random electronic draw method. This may repeat until the prize is awarded.

14. Fraud prevention

Fraudulent entries are void. Listings created solely to gain additional entries, listings involving fake or shill bidding, listings using multiple accounts controlled by the same person, or entries obtained through any manipulation of the platform will be disqualified. Accounts involved in fraudulent behaviour may be suspended or permanently banned and referred to the appropriate authorities.

15. Cancelled or refunded listings

Listings that are cancelled, refunded, removed for breach of our Rules or Terms, or otherwise disqualified before the draw are not eligible and their Listing Reference Numbers will be removed from the entry pool.

16. Multiple accounts

Creating multiple accounts to gain additional entries is prohibited and may result in disqualification of all associated entries and permanent removal from the platform.

17. Verification

The promoter may verify the winner’s eligibility (including identity, account verification status, and that the winning Listing Reference Number corresponds to a genuine paid listing that has not been refunded, cancelled or otherwise disqualified) before the prize is awarded.

18. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with this promotion is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Winners consent to being contacted regarding the prize and to their first name and Listing Reference Number being announced publicly in connection with the promotion result. No email address, phone number, home address, or exact city is published.

19. Promoter details

20. General legal conditions

The promoter’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time where circumstances beyond its reasonable control require. NZ consumer law applies where required. To the extent permitted by law, the promoter’s liability in connection with this promotion is limited to the value of the prize.
