Welcome to Cheap Boats NZ. By using our platform — part of the NZ Auction Network — you agree to the following Terms.
1. Auction listings only
The NZ Auction Network is an online auction marketplace. We connect buyers and sellers across New Zealand but do not act as the buyer, seller, escrow agent, shipper, or insurer for any listed item.
2. Direct buyer & seller dealings
All payments, inspections, pickup, delivery, ownership transfer, and disputes are arranged directly between buyer and seller. The platform does not process buyer-to-seller payments. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on payment, collection, delivery, and ownership transfer arrangements.
3. Limitation of responsibility
the NZ Auction Network is not responsible for item condition, seller claims, payment disputes, failed sales, or buyer/seller behaviour. All listings and user content are provided by users and are presented on an "as is" basis.
4. Buyer responsibilities
Buyers must inspect items, verify details, confirm ownership and registration where applicable, and use safe payment practices (in-person handover, bank transfer with verified owner, etc.).
5. Seller responsibilities
Sellers must provide accurate listing information, including title, description, photos, location, condition, and any known defects. Misleading listings may be removed. Sellers must have the legal right to sell any item they list.
6. Moderation
The platform may, at its discretion, remove listings, suspend or terminate accounts, edit Q&A where necessary, investigate suspicious activity, and moderate content that breaches these Terms, our Rules, or our community standards.
7. User content & conduct
Q&A, feedback, and any user-submitted content must be respectful and lawful. Harassment, impersonation, scams, illegal items, and spam are prohibited.
8. Listing fees
Platform listing fees are charged for the right to list and are separate from any buyer/seller transaction payments. Fees are duration-based (7, 14, 21 or 28 days) with Standard or Featured tiers — see the Pricing section for current amounts. Every paid listing includes one free extension for the same duration if it expires unsold. Listing fees are non-refundable except as required by NZ consumer law.
9. Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
